Jurassic 5, Dilated Peoples, Beat Junkies – Word Of Mouth Tour, Tramps NYC 1999

This was another great, if bittersweet, show at Tramps NYC.  Great in the sense that is was Jurassic 5's, Dilated's and the Beat Junkies' first show in NYC.  They brought their brand of funk records and turntabalism, laid back Cali approach and ill cuts to NYC, and bittersweet in the sense that is was the last show at the legendary venue.  Luckily, I rolled there with a couple cats who were good about remembering their cameras, and we got a bunch of dope fliks out of this event.  We had no idea it was the last show there, until the next month when the then-readable Source magazine put a short column up about its sale and closing down as a music venue.  That's how it goes though.  I'm just glad I had the chance to experience it when I did.
