Interview with Los Angeles Artist Rolen Anton Romanes

This is an interview with a friend of mine that I met about 4-5 years ago in printmaking class at Los Angeles City College. Rolen was astounding everyone in the art department, faculty, teachers and students alike. Being in printmaking with him, I was able to see his ideas transform and grow from sketches through [...]

Ryan Baysa Jazz Portraits & Interview

Ryan Baysa is an artist whose work I became aware of through some mutual friends and from seeing flyers of his exhibits at venues I hit up occasionally. When I saw his works I was instantly drawn to them not only because of the subjects, but the colors, textures and styles of the pieces all collude into a visual depiction of the imagery the music creates for me when I think of those artists. Said more easily, I can hear their music playing internally while looking at these works.

Miles & Monk In The Sky – Jazz Legends Autographed Piano Art Piece

This is one of most amazing projects that I've ever heard of.   Of course, I'm probably biased in that declaration, as I'm a Jazz fiend, an psychedelic art lover, and a graf styles junkie.  Knowing the people who collaborated to make this happen is even more amazing.  I haven't even personally seen the piece in [...]
