Ryan Baysa is an artist whose work I became aware of through some mutual friends and from seeing flyers of his exhibits at venues I hit up occasionally. When I saw his works I was instantly drawn to them not only because of the subjects, but the colors, textures and styles of the pieces all collude into a visual depiction of the imagery the music creates for me when I think of those artists. Said more easily, I can hear their music playing internally while looking at these works.
This is one of most amazing projects that I've ever heard of. Of course, I'm probably biased in that declaration, as I'm a Jazz fiend, an psychedelic art lover, and a graf styles junkie.
